for rebecca

hey becks, so i went over your poster and i meant to only paint a little of it. just to show you. but than i got carried away and started having alot of fun with it. as for your poster it was good but after staring at it i realize the lighting and anatomy was wierd. so i was fixing that. and than i realized both characters are green so having a green background isn't a great idea so i added the yellow to it. but than when i got carried away and kept noodling at it. i couldn't stop but i had to stop my self with the pink one. i thought it was better to have a red or pink background so that the green will pop out more. than i started just stylizing it cause i thought u guys all had awesome characters nad i wanted to do a little tweek of my version of it. anyways i had to stop touch this for a bit. i'll go back to the pink one later. but yah if possible can we work together on this?

character paint style

i know this is gonna be hard to do, but i want u guys to render it as close to this as you can. where its not flat but more like a finished animation piece. i know everyone here has a different style. but this can only help u. it shows people u understand the form.

sketch I'm gonna finish

I'm gonna put in an environment probably the fire swamp, and have them swinging through it.

Tell me what you think. javascript:void(0)

Characters!!

Quinn

Sketch example

ok so i was looking over some of the sketches in one of my books and i saw this. i was a little surprised about the looseness of the sketches. they were so loose they came up with some cool interesting characters. or some design that stood out. i want you guys to try to do the same. but clean it up a little bit more. and try making these presentable. i don't wanna see just sketches on a page without a template. i think audrey lee in the jr class has some good examples of good layout. i know disney loved it. heres an example http://audreyjl.blogspot.com/

as for the images i posted above, the red is where i marked to show you guys an example of what i'm talking about. the sketches are loose but the idea is there, and when they go to flush it out they start to make more sense with the anatomy. but still try to give it that loose feel to it. try it out.
